For three days every October, 1,00,000+ students from 500+ colleges across India come to Roorkee for dance, music, drama, fashion, art, literary, quizzing and gaming competitions, workshops, a carnival, social initiatives and three Pronite concert nights.

What happens at Thomso
Thomso'26 runs from 9 to 11 October 2026 on the IIT Roorkee campus, with the Multi Activity Centre (MAC) as the fest's home. By day the campus is a stage for competitions: dance battles in the Convocation Hall, singing and band competitions, street plays, fashion shows, art on the library steps, quizzes, debates and esports tournaments. By night, the three Pronites bring large-scale live music and performance to packed crowds.
Thomso is organised every year by the students of IIT Roorkee, and it is open to college students from every institute in India — not only IITs. Winners take home prizes, and every participant takes home three days at one of the biggest college fests in the country.
